Playtronic (Brazilian) Super NES unit, should be the same as a standard NTSC unit. Playtronic had their own serial code system. On the bottom of the PCB, the Playtronic serial code is PCI029955ASL. Bought in 2015 from a thrift shop in Ithaca, NY for $15 works great. No other history.

Being such a low serial number, mine has all of the initial release version items on it: 4-footer, silver SN sticker, silver FCC ID sticker, printed EJECT lettering, and cartridge lock. Mine is also in mint mint condition with absolutely no yellowing at all, thanks to me playing all my video games in my parent's basement when I was growing up. I also kept all the packaging, box, instructions/manuals, and most of the baggies and twist ties that came with the system. I'd say it's about 95% complete, with only a few baggies missing, and the large "how to connect your Super Nintendo System" poster currently missing. I believe I have it and just have to look for it in the box with all of the other paperwork for my other systems.

The console works normally with all cartridges, but has graphical glitches and lockups with a Game Doctor SF7 copier that other SNES consoles I have do not experience.

I had this one since I was really young, if I remember right. On my birthday when I was like.. what was it, 9? Got Power Rangers and Zelda: LTTP with me. Surprisingly not sun decayed much, if at all.

Doesn't display audio/video aside from a few messed up title screens. Not much yellowing, D1 has blown, might need a capacitor replacement or a chip replacement.

ABS plastic has a slight yellow tint, moreso on the front portion of the bottom half where the controller ports are located. Power and Reset push up switches are no longer purple; they are somewhat dark burgundy in tone.

These older models with removable sound bits are giving me issues with playing only certain games. They're very finicky, and the issues is definitely not just a cleaning or simple cap replacements.

I got this console as a Christmas present in 1992. Purchased in Manitoba, and I am the original owner. Date stamp on the bottom of the console is "9202". It is a Canadian system and had Super Mario World as a pack-in. The PCB serial code is SHVC-CPU-01 with a copyright of 1990. Other date stamps on the chips include: 9139, 9149, 9148. The S-DSP chip came on a separate module. Sticker on casing reads E990270 and 611AA. Has 1000μF capacitor under voltage regulator heat sink. Only minimal case yellowing is present and is around controller ports. Its a SHVC-CPU-01 snes. I got it from a woman at a swap meet for $9.00. She said it had "survived her six boys". I don't know why she said that since its among the best looking snes's I've seen. Not a scratch or any yellowing at all. Several of my gaming friends have called it box worthy, I don't know about that but I'm happy to be the second owner of this snes.

Received Christmas 1991 (or '92?). Thus, original owner. Motherboard revision is 1990/SHVC-CPU-01 CPU is: S-CPU A 5A22-02 2KH 89 PPU1 is: S-PPU1 5C77-01 2JU 7H PPU2 is: S-PPU2 B 5C78-03 2JM 7X In 2010-ish, this SNES stopped functioning, the so-called "Black Screen of Death". Upon opening the console for cleaning and repair, I discovered two small pieces of metal that were loose and rattling around inside. The first piece was part of the Multi Out port... the sides of the port have metal clips that hold the plug in place. The clip that came unattached appears to have burned or severely corroded. The second piece of metal I still have yet to identify. Presumably, the fact that I found it inside my console indicates the SNES as being the point of origin, however, I've yet to find a spot on ANY component (motherboard, sound module, etc.) where this piece of metal may have come from. Presently, best guess is that it came from the back end of the AC port, as there is another piece of metal (slightly smaller) still attached, which appears to be of identical composition, and similar burn pattern. However, the presently detached piece of metal doesn't seem to actually fit anywhere near this area, despite the uncanny similarities. C67 capacitor is missing (never attached, as the solder points are unsullied), though I understand this is not uncommon at all.

Slightly yellowing, broken power plug, SNS-CPU-GPM-01 1992 ink stamp 301-07AA

Console is gradually more yellowed from the very bottom (completely grey) to the top surface (slightly yellow). Canadian console indicated by the "CAN" label on the top surfaces' "power switch must be off before loading or removing a game pak" sticker as well as the SNS-USA/CAN label on the shiny label on the bottom. Will re-submit with further information once I get a screwdriver to open up the console. It's also a real shame that a spambot has come across this page.
